Last week mama graduated from school. I was hoping that "last day of school” also applied to work but apparently mama still has to go to that. The day of graduation, I woke up and said “congraduations” to mama a lot and I like the word so I’m still saying it after a week.
Kai and I got to go to the ceremony. I took my Mars book. Mama’s boss Mike and his wife Nancy were there with us and I lost count of how many times Mike read Mars to me.
Here’s mama walking down the aisle. It would have been nice if she could have sat with us. But all the black-robe/funny hat people sat in front.
Here’s mama waiting in line to get hooded and plaque’d.
I danced when mama was up on stage! She waved to me when she was up there.
After the end of the boooring speeches and stuff, the black robe/funny hat people walked back. Here’s our friend Rick. I guess he didn’t like his hat.
And here’s mama! Everybody was smiling and happy. We’re all glad it’s done.
When we got back home we got ready for the party. Oma brought a cake and lots of our friends came over to celebrate and say congraduations.
It was a sunny hot day and they forgot to sunblock me until I was already pink!
I made a friend.
Opa hiding in the corner. Not a literal corner, but definitely a figurative corner.
I just realized that this probably means that they expect me to do lots of school too. I like school so that’s probably ok but we’ll have to see.
