Life’s a Beach!

Well, at least weekend’s a beach. My weekend. Last weekend.

It was a long drive but so worth it. A couple of times I asked if we were there yet, but mama asked how could we have reached our destination if the car was still moving and I had to admit her logic was flawless. Curses!

We decided to bring Kai, too! His first trip to the beach and he did really well on the way.

Mama and daddy told me that the friends we were going to spend the weekend with have a little girl and I was so excited to play with her. As soon as we pulled up to the driveway I ran up to the man in the driveway and asked where his little girl was. He sent me inside and I met Kaylie and we played and had a lot of fun. We went down to the beach after dinner and it was so, so cold but I insisted on going into the water anyway.

   

The two mommies, the little girl and Kai were hiding from the wind in a shelter.

 

I was cold but so very happy. And insisted that I keep my sweatshirt off. You can’t wear sweatshirts on the beach!

Mama and I went for a walk on Saturday during one of Kai’s brief naps. We found a nice path in the woods.

 

That afternoon, I was really eager to go back to the beach. Mama and daddy and Kai and I headed down there. Thankfully, it was warmer during the day.

 

   

 

Before we left for home on Sunday, mama took a picture of us kids. We had a great time! I hope we can go again!
