Daddy had a birthday last week. He says he’s only 29, but nobody believes him.
For his birthday, mama and Kai and I got him a ride on a helicopter. And can you believe it, I was going to get to go too!
We headed out to Newberg yesterday morning. I was so excited to go to the airpark but a little disappointed that there wouldn’t be any escalators or parking garage. Here we are making our way out to the helicopter. Dad was nervous about flying but I wasn’t afraid. Maybe daddy is looking back here, silently asking mama for help, with his eyes?

OK. We’re in and ready to take off. Back off mama, we need to go!
Well, we took off. Anybody who calls mama overprotective can suck it. Here I am, in a tiny little machine, flying higher and higher. Hey mom! You look like an ant from up here!
I got very intense and focused (ok, I was a little nervous) but couldn’t be happier.
Coming in for a landing… I can see our car!

And back on the ground. What a rush!
Daddy is not only totally pumped, but he’s now also asking about what a little helicopter might cost…
Everyone, I did it.
Mama says I now have an experience that most other people don’t. Just the first one of many, I predict.
