Silly Baby!

I'm such a "lilly baby!" We were being silly tonight before bed. Mama was tickling me a lot and singing about my dodo pants. And I was hopping around like a bunny. Check out these videos...

Too Too at the Zoo

Last night I was in the bath and mama and I were talking, tomorrow would be a nice day to go to the zoo. I was all for it. Thzoo! Thzoo! I told mama how things should go... "night night, eat, bye bye, thzoo!". There's a brand new baby elephant at the zoo so we thought it might be pretty busy but on the other hand, everybody would be at the elephant house, so the rest of the zoo should be OK!

This morning, mama got me up and I didn't want to get moving too fast, but mama seemed like she really wanted to go to the zoo. She didn't even shower. Finally we got out the door.

We drove in the car to a garage, then got out and mama bought a ticket and we walked down some stairs. Mama said that we'd be getting on a train...the MAX train. Train sounded really good and we only had to wait about 30 seconds and the train showed up. Wow! It was really big and neat but when mama started to move me toward it I melted down. Did NOT want to go!

Mama got me on the train, with me crying and the people around us looking at mama like she was so mean. Ha, ha, mama, that'll show you! But then, the train started moving. From that point on, I had a smile plastered on my sweet little face. We went through a TUNNEL! and got off the train at the THZOO!

Mama bought zoo tickets and zootrain tickets and we headed straight for the zoo train. I actually think mama rushed me a little too much because I wanted to look around a little but I think she wanted to be first in line at the train.

When we got to the train station, the clock said there were 15 minutes left before the train got going. It didn't seem worth leaving and coming back, and there were already people in line, so mama lost out on the first place spot. So we got in line. I waited so patiently for boarding time. When the conductor man said "ALL ABOARD!", we gave him our tickets and mama let me pick our seat. I picked seats in the middle of the front car, which everybody knows is the best spot.

We sat down and everyone around us was talking to each other. We met Logan, sitting in front of us. His mama was giving him M&Ms and she gave me some too! We also met Kira, sitting behind us. Her mama asked my mama to take their picture. She offered to take ours and send it to mama, since mama failed to bring a camera with us. It was very nice of her to offer! So she took a picture of us and we'll see if it shows up.

I was telling everybody that we were on a "too too" and all of a sudden we got going. It was a long ride. We stopped up at washington park and got out for a few minutes and mama had me talk to the conductor guy, who seemed happy for some company. We told him "tay yoo" for driving the train. After a couple of minutes we got back on the train and rode back to the zoo. We saw elks and an elephant and lots of people waving to us. I had sooo much fun on the train, I didn't stop talking about it all day! I was all smiles the whole time we were on it.

After the train we looked at some animals and then needed to find some food. Mama asked me what I wanted to eat and I told her that I wanted fries and ketchup. We went to the Africafe and I got to have tater tots. Close enough. I also got to have chocolate milk, which I spilled all over the front of my shirt and pants.

After that, we looked at a few more animals and mama asked me if I wanted a treat. Heck yeah! We stopped at a little food kiosk and got me a little strawberry "eye wheem" cone. Then it was "ooh ah ah" monkey time. We looked at the monkeys and then it was time to go back to the MAX train. We went back to that station and took the elevator way underground (I make mama hold me in elevators) and then found where the train was going to be. We waited and waited for the train and finally we could hear it coming and I saw the lights and I screeched and screeched with happiness. Too Too! It stopped and we got on. I got to ride the train standing up (I held mama's hand) and too soon it was all over. We were back at the station where the car was. Mama gave her all day MAX pass to some punk kid and we got back in the car. Whew! It was so much fun. Can you believe it? Three train rides in one day!

I had a playdate today, with my two little girlfriends. Their mamas work with my mama. We had lots of treats (I got to have a cookie!) and we played in the water and in Ella's wagon and we played with Ella's toys. It's always more fun to play with someone else's stuff.

This is Emmeline.

And this is Ella.

Quick! Back to the pool!

Fiesta!

Last week we got home from Sunriver on Thursday. On Friday, mama took me to the Children's Museum. It was so much fun, I ran around like a maniac and had a blast.

On Saturday, we got in the car. Again. And headed in the opposite direction, north to Seattle. Daddy's Auntie Chris was having her 60th birthday and they were having a big Mexican fiesta to celebrate.

The weather was so hot, it was over a hundred that day and everyone was dripping. When I was checking out the party house, I saw a wading pool and told mama I wanted to go in. And told her again. And told her again. But we didn't have my swimsuit so mama finally decided I should just go naked. Wheeeee! I cooled off fast.

Mimi, Wate Yamma and mama.

Mama tried to get me to just run around in shoes and a diaper after I was done swimming but I would have none of that. I made her put all my clothes on.
At the fiesta there was a piñata and my cousin Eli let me help him crack it open.

He finally had to whack it a bunch of times but then candy came out! Yay!
I got to have some smarties.
Eli also got a balloon toy from the party and he would blow them up and then they would fly into the air. He did that over and over because I liked it so much.
We spent time just hanging out, too. He played with me a lot and watched out for me at the party.

Happy birthday Auntie Chris!
All the way back to wate-yamma's house after the party I was talking about Eli, and when we went home the next day I pointed out the front door and told mama that Eli was that way. I hope I see him again soon.

Vacationing

Mama was on vacation this week so we went out of town, to a magical place called Sunriver. It was a long long drive. The night before when I was getting ready for bed, mama started getting me psyched up. I wanted to go bye bye right then but mama told me that after I went night night, we would get up, eat, and go bye bye. I had to let that sink in for a moment, then said "night night, eat, bye bye." Yeah.

The next morning they didn't move nearly as fast as I was led to believe but still, we were on our way before 11. We had toys and books in the car and being on the go was so exciting I didn't want to sleep. Finally I went to sleep around Detroit Lake but was only out for about half an hour. When I woke up, mama presented me with the most wonderful invention ever, a portable video player. I now have "dididos" in the car! So while we finished our journey, I sat in relative comfort and extreme pleasure while my baby Einstein videos whisked me away to a fantasy land.

In Bend, we stopped at Trader Joe's, my most favoritest grocery store ever. We were checking out the steak when Uncle Dodo walked by. Whoah! Not only am I at Trader Joe's, high on a few Baby Einsteins, after a good bye-bye car ride, but Dodo's here too! Too much, too much. Before long I had mama and Dodo chasing me around the store. At the checkout I saw something yummy and tried to get mama to buy it for me but she said I definitely did not need chocolate covered espresso beans.

We got to our house a little while later. After we brought all the bags in, I explored the house and mama and I took a walk.

Checking out the hot tub on the back deck.

Dodo takes lots of pictures of me too.

On our walk, we saw squirrels and a bunny but it jumped away when I got close. I was finding little stones and clumps of dirt for mama to throw like when she throws things for Bailey. I found a little seed and asked mama to throw it but then I saw a little ant on the ground. It was moving very quickly away from me. I kept telling it "hey, 'top!" but it didn't. I held the seed in front of it and chased it down the path, saying "hey, 'top, eat!" but it never paused a second.

The next morning I tried to feed a paint chip to a frog but didn't have any better luck.

And I tried to chase a squirrel up a tree.

Sometimes I just wear myself out.

We crumbled up the leftover pancakes and left them on the deck for the deer.

Mama really wanted me to have the chance to ride a pony. I thought it sounded like a lot of fun. We went down to the stables the first morning we were there. I was pretty hesitant though when it actually came time to get near it.

Even though I was pretty scared to touch the pony, mama asked me if I still wanted to ride it. I said yes even though I was a little afraid. It turned out really well! The pony's name was Blueberry. She was a nice little pony.

After we got back from the pony ride we went for a nice long bike ride. It was really fun. Daddy found a bike helmet for me in the shed and we tried it on.

On our ride we found the Deschutes river. We stopped to look at the map to see exactly where we were. I got to get out and stretch my legs a little.

This is what I was looking at...

We had stopped right by the airport. Daddy and I took a moment to watch a plane land.

We stopped for a moment in a shady spot so mama could take some more pictures of the pretty trees and water. Daddy and I are just getting a breather...after this we turned around and went back to the house.

That night we had company for dinner, a friend of daddy's that live in Bend. He brought his brand new wife and his even newer baby girl. I was a little spazzy and had to show off after dinner... and I've got the bruises to prove it.

The next day we went to the pool which was a lot of fun. They had a kiddie pool with sprinklers that shower you and a slide. There was also a big people pool that mama and Dodo and I were in for a while. But before we left I had to go back to the kiddie pool and that slide. Every time I slid down that slide I would land on my bottom in the kiddie pool and shriek and shake with so much happiness I didn't know what to do. I went down a bunch of times but right before we left, I got a little too excited and took a sharp left on the wet pool concrete. Oops! Down I went, right on my head. I got a big scrape and knot on my forehead and oh, it hurt so bad. I cried for a minute, then told mama I wanted to go down the slide again. She said I could do it one more time and then we'd go. And we did.

We went out to dinner in the village that last night and I told mama I wanted a chicken sandwich but they ordered me grilled cheese. I had fries and lots of ketchup.

After dinner we walked around the village a little. Two little girls were skipping by so I decided to follow them, galloping. They thought it was funny but I just thought it was fun. When mama finally caught up with me, we walked back to daddy and Dodo and another little girl found me. She was really little, about one (half my age!) and she kept sticking her tongue out at me. In and out, really fast. Her mama said that she had been doing that all night and I was the only one who found it amusing. I walked up the ramp with her and she wanted me to go with them but I told her "bye bye!" It's not nice to lead on those young girls.

When we got home that last night mama and I took a last walk around. I took my school bus with us.

In these pictures you can't really see all the ketchup and ink pen that I got on my shirt during dinner...

Well, all good things must come to an end. We had a blast at our rented house, I kept calling it "'body home" because whenever I point out a house and say "home", mama says "yes, it's somebody's home".

As we drove away, we waved bye bye to Sunriver and said thank you for the very nice time.

Eat!

All I want to do lately is eat. Maybe I'm having a growth spurt.

Driving through town, "eat! eat!". Pointing over towards Shari's Restaurant "Eat!" Even after I eat a big meal, I want to eat. The other day mama asked me what I wanted to do for lunch. "Eat!" She walked into that one...

goofing around

We were goofing around before bed the other night. Mama made me wear silly rabbit ears on my head. I pulled them off as soon as I could.

Pretending to sleep on the floor.

daddy wanted to take a new picture with me

Speaking of rabbit ears, I decided to take my bunny to bed with me that night.

The next night I decided that I wanted my yellow quacking duck. After mama kissed me goodnight I had her kiss the duck. I just wanted to see if she would.

Oaks Park

Today I went to Oaks Park with Carson and mama-Itin and mama-Itin's mama. We had a blast! Here's what mama-Itin sent to mama and daddy after we got back and Carson and I passed out for naptime...
**********************
Totally fun time!!
First ride: Merry Go Round- Carson fine (not his first time), Ian started shaking and getting ready to melt down and would not ride the horse but he was content to sit in my lap.

Ride 1.5: Merry Go round- Again. Still no horse for Ian but happy in non-moving seat.

Second ride: Very loud and fast motorcycles: Carson fine, Ian not so sure. We didn't put him on it because once it starts you can't stop it to get him off. Didn't want him to get scared right off the bat. He did seem interested though.

Third ride: Cars. The boys got to sit side by side and each hold a steering wheel. They thought it was terrific!!

Fourth ride: Rockets. We faced them toward each other in different rockets so they could see each other. The ride went up and down. They loved it!!

Fifth ride: Crazy gyroscope boat that went back and forth higher and higher and then started spinning around. They loved it! My mom and I got to ride with them.

Sixth ride: Frog hopper. Straight up and then bounced down, twice. They loved it. I got to ride with them. Then the camera ran out of batteries. SORRY!

Seventh ride: The Roller Coaster. As we stood in line, the ride looked a little herky-jerky for lack of a better term. It actually looked like the riders were getting whiplash in one section. Our turn. I rode with Ian and my mom rode with Carson. The first up-hill and turn was fun. The first down-hill was fun. But then from behind me, I heard blood-curdling screaming. You would have thought we were on the Matterhorn at Disneyland. I looked back and it was coming from my mother. They were screams of glee with a touch of terror. It completely FREAKED Carson out. He lost it and was crying. I yelled at her to stop screaming. BAD NANA!!

Ian was screaming with laughter! He thought it was the best thing ever! Complete surprise for me. The ride actually lifted us out of our seats several times. I hung on to Ian's arm and Carson buried his face in my mom's armpit.

Eighth ride: CREEPY ride through a dark building with a moth eaten giant motorized bear and an Indian hanging from a chain. It was awful and we all wanted to get off it right away.

We hit the Merry go round one more time and Ian sat on a giant frog this time! He went up and down and said "up down up down" the whole time. Carson sat next to him on a giant rooster.

Finally we rode the train around the park. Best $12 I've ever spent ;-) We had a GREAT time! They are sound asleep now probably dreaming of thrills!

Thank you mama-Itin, I had so much fun!
