Too tired to think of a good title.

I'm thinking that if they have a contest for the world's best baby, we would win it. Because my baby is the best baby in the world. He is on a good schedule now for naps and eating. And at night he sleeps for 6-7 hours at a time. He doesn't cramp my style too much, but sometimes I have to wait for someone to get me juice or play a game with me. Soon baby will be big enough to play games with me. That will be good.

In the mornings baby is so very happy, he smiles and wiggles, it's like the happiness is so built up inside him it's trying to explode out of him.

He gets cranky sometimes when he's hungry or tired, but I sing him a song that he likes. It sounds like "twinkle twinkle little star" but the words are "Don't cry, little Kai, you're our special little guy."

We went to the library today to take back the movies we borrowed, which were "Peter Pan" and "Oliver and Company". I liked Peter Pan and the pirates, it had a flying pirate ship. I didn't like the Oliver one at all. I didn't get to borrow more movies from the library because I've been having poop accidents and so I lost my TV privileges. I earned a movie last night (and told the Chinese food delivery guy all about it) but lost my movie today because I had a little poop and it ended up on the living room floor. Bailey cleaned it up for us.

But I digress. We went to the library today to take back the movies we borrowed, and though I didn't get a movie, we got some music CDs and some books. I picked out books about stars and planets and a book about Oregon. I read my Venus book in the car on the way to Trader Joe's.

I'm not taking naps anymore so I get tired kind of early. But I do my best to stay delightful. I got to bed late tonight but never stopped smiling. Before bed I told mama some facts about Venus. Venus is the same size as the Earth, and the air is heavy. Also it's in the solar system, like Earth. And we're in the United States.

Did you know a galactic toot is a toot so stinky the astronauts can smell it from outer space?

May flowers

We got out more of the baby stuff from the attic. Kai loves it. Most of the pictures we have where he's smiling in the jumperoo are all blurry because he's bouncing around so much.

I had forgotten how much fun those baby toys are. I got in here myself, by the way.

Last weekend we went to the zoo. I wanted spiky hair so mama jell-oed me up.

Then right before we left, I decided I wanted my hat on. I'm four. I reserve the right to change my mind.

We did the usual stuff. Sea otters (my current favorite)

Running on the lawn...

The sculpture park. Just don't tell us I'm getting too big for this.

Kai had a nice time too.

Then we got back to the car.
WHAT THE HECK??? Remember I am pretty small. We are the grey one on the right. You can kind of see where the yellow line is, under that other car. We got to crawl in through the other side. I thought it was fun. Mama, not so much. And mama had to squeeze in and fasten my seatbelt through the open window.
Mama left a note. I think she used some naughty words.

And, on a better note...Kai and me in my bed.

tummy time

We've been having internet problems tonight, so quick! Let's put some pictures up before we lose it again! Here is some tummy time for Kai from yesterday and today. His neck is sure getting a lot stronger. It must be, to hold up that big noggin (mama just taught me that new word last week).

The naked tummy time was from tonight. I decided to get naked, too, just to join in the fun. I told daddy I was having "naked baby time", just like my baby. We're not putting up any pictures of my naked baby time. That wouldn't be right...

Fire stations rule!

I got to go on a field trip today with my preschool class. We went to the Hillsboro Fire Station. Daddy came too. I've been learning about fire safety and I know I'm not supposed to play with matches and lighters and stuff. I also know to STOP, DROP and ROLL! if I catch on fire. I've been checking in with mama and daddy about what to do if other things catch on fire. Like the chair (apparently the answer is to "get off it") or the dining room light ("tell somebody") or my finger puppet ("it won't catch on fire, now move on to another topic").

There are lots and lots of pictures that I'm going to be adding this weekend. We've been very very busy and sorry but the blog has suffered. We're going to correct things very soon.
