We've been having a great time. I am on spring break this week, NO SCHOOL! I miss my friends but it's fun being home more with mama and daddy. I went to Pump It Up Jr yesterday with mama. Yamma was here today and took me again. Twice in one week! It's full of inflatable slides and bouncy houses. I have a really good time there, and get fully exhausted in about an hour. I went at open play times that were for ages 3 and under. Since I'll be four in three weeks, I was the oldest kid there. I liked showing off for other kids and their mamas. I would go to other mamas and say "check this out" or "look what I can do!" I'm not shy about self promotion and I deliver the goods almost every time.

I got to go to Emmeline's birthday party last weekend, it was at a gym and was really fun. We did some dancing and some open play on the gymnastics equipment.

Last week at school each of the kids made a springtime flower. Mama really liked that idea so she made three more for me. Showoff. ANYWAY, we made a springtime garden on the front window.


















My baby is really starting to get big now. He has long legs. He can't fit in his newborn or 3 month sleepers because his legs are too long for them, he has to wear 6 month sleepers which look pretty funny on him because they are super big on him everywhere else.


















Baby is also starting to smile a lot now. Say cheez!


















And here's my sweet baby brother sleeping. He may look like an angel, but I bet he's plotting a big poop blowout or something for tomorrow.













We are doing really well. Do I sound like I'm overselling that point? Because we really are. I am having a great time being big brother. Mama and daddy are so proud of me and I'm proud of me. And my dog is either proud of me or she wants a cooky. Hard to tell.

I think I love my baby. I tell mama and daddy that almost every day.







I took my baby to the zoo for the first time last week. He wasn't very interested in the animals. I was glad, though, that I got to go. We hadn't planned it. "It was a nice 'prise."

We weighed my baby at the doctor's office last Wednesday. He had gained some weight, enough for the doctor to be happy. He's still pretty little and has quite a ways to go before he catches up with me.

And last week I had my first real dentist appointment, too! It was called a "happy visit" and while I will say it wasn't terribly happy, it wasn't awful either. They had an "elevator chair" that I moved up and down in. I got my teeth cleaned and the cute hygenist girl put fluoride on them. She called them vitamins for my teeth. I got to pick the flavor. Blue Raspberry. Ech.

The dentist came and looked at my teeth and said they look great, no cavities and alignment is perfect. He could tell that I didn't use a binky very much. Maybe no braces for me.

A couple of days ago mama took baby and me for a walk around the neighborhood. The weather has been beautiful. I wanted mama to pull baby and me in the wagon but she didn't want to put him in there yet. So I rode in the wagon while mama carried baby in the sling. We had a nice walk, I made mama stop once so I could come give her and baby a kiss.

He's a good baby. And he'll be a month old tomorrow!

Baby status

My baby went to the doctor this week for his two week checkup. He weighs 7 pounds 3.5 ounces, so he still has some catching up to do but the doctor isn't worried.
I know what "percentile" means. It means how big you are compared to other kids. Baby is 50th in length and head circumference and 10th in weight.

I have blue eyes but we think baby will have brown eyes like mama.

I like to kiss baby. I'm a good big brother.

Baby finally came home, he's two weeks old today. I got to see him in the hospital right after he was born, it was really special because I was the only one who got to come.

So when mama and daddy brought him home, the first thing I wanted to do was hold him. It's been fun having a baby around. He cries sometimes, but not too much. It doesn't bother me anyway. If he's crying and mama's not jumping up to get him, I tell her that the baby needs her.

Baby sleeps a lot and when he's awake he looks at me and I like to give him his binky.
