family
Last week at school I did a "my family" thing where we pasted boxes with family members' names on a house. I ended up with a house that has Ian, Daddy, Kai and Emily. My teachers asked if I had a brother and I told them about baby brother Kai, who I haven't even met yet. And then they asked me if I have a sister and I said Emmeline and they interpreted it as Emily and it went on the house. Mama just wanted to know where the "mama" box was.
"Happy Valentimes"
A dentist came and looked at our teeth at school today. My teeth are very good because I brush them for a long time every day.
But forget that. We had a Valentine's Party today! Mama and I made valentines the other night for all the kids in my class. They were Cars ones, like with Lightning McQueen and we put candy and temporary tattoos with them. Even though I don't like temporary tattoos myself. But I wrote my name on each and every one, all by myself. Good thing I have a short name...
I ended up with a big bag full of valentines from my school friends and I was very excited to open it but I wanted to wait until mama got home from work. Why oh why did she have to be late? After she FINALLY got home, we opened it up and a lot of my friends gave out candy too. Good thing the dentist already looked at my teeth.

Baby's a comin'
Some pictures from baby's new room.
Mama made the whole mobile by herself. We like it. Mama really likes it and is maybe a little bit too proud. She sewed all of those little elephants herself.
When daddy got the crib all put together and mama was ready to put a couple of things in it, I helped her pick out what should go in it. Then I went into my room and got my favorite friend, my baby deer, and put it in the crib. Mama was going to cry.
Then when it was time for bed, I went and got it back so I could sleep with it. It's the thought that counts, right?
Mama and daddy say that baby will come any day now. Baby's still sideways in mama's tummy so they think he's a troublemaker already.

Big brothers have a lot of responsibility
Mama asked me what I was going to teach my baby brother.
Um...
"I'm going to teach him to walk, and eat food, and sit on the potty and ride his bike.
What are you going to teach my baby brother?"

Santa Claus came to my house
Yes, it's about six weeks late...but give us a break!
Here are some pictures from Christmas morning.
Mama woke me up and told me Santa had come. I got to stay in my jammies. I was very excited to go downstairs. I walked downstairs and Dodo was taking my picture. I looked around and asked "where's the TV?"
I got a police and fire playhouse and the new kitchen I wanted!
Got to play a bit, then off to check out the stockings!
Lots of fun stuff...astronaut ice cream, a text and type toy, chocolate, and bath time fishing stuff...so much good stuff it barely fit! Santa is sure good at stuffing those socks.
Have to check out the toy daddy got in his stocking.
Got dressed, and back downstairs to play some more and open the presents from mama and daddy.
My rescue playset came with a fire helicopter and a police motorcycle. Awesome.
...and then, out of nowhere... "AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"
...then immediately followed with, "I'm going to make some coffee."
One of my presents was a nice new corduroy shirt. Looks good, right?
Yamma and Baba and Auntie Amy and Uncle Brad showed up and there were more presents and more playing. Plus some food.
And Oma came over and we ate some more. And opened more presents.
One of my presents from mama was a new game. I love it so much. And Uncle Dodo played it with me for a while, until it was time for dinner.
Merry Christmas! When can we do it again?
