I went to see Thomas!

It was a very busy and eventful day.
We got up early and were all very excited to get in the car and go see Thomas and ride in him. We drove all the way out to Hood River. On the way there we got a flat tire that Daddy fixed and so I told him he was my hero.

When we finally got there, we parked and had to ride in a school bus to where the trains were.

We met up with Carson and his mama and daddy and since the flat tire made us a little late, we got right on the train.

This is Carson and his mama and Daddy.

We rode on the train for a half hour and then when we got back to the train yard, we said hello to Thomas and "thank you for the ride" and then headed off to play. I spotted a hay maze right away and Carson and I went off to play.

I did the hay maze for a while, then a bouncy house, then toy trains, then went potty, then petted some animals and then went back to the hay maze. Lots of fun and a great day out with Carson and Thomas!

Summer is here!

I am so excited I can't sleep. I'm going to see Thomas the Tank Engine tomorrow morning. Every time mama and daddy have brought it up I've asked if we could "go now?" and they kept saying that Thomas wasn't ready to see us yet. But he'll be ready tomorrow and I'm so so excited about it. Carson and his mama and daddy are going too and I bet they're excited too.

Today was mama's last day of school for the year. Now we have three whole months where only work will take her away from me. We're very happy that things shouldn't be as tightly wound around here.

Here are some fun pictures from my bath the other night. See the numbers counting 1-10? I did those all by myself. Yesterday morning when mama sent me in to the bathroom to go potty, some of the numbers had fallen down off the bath wall. I climbed into the tub to put "1-2...twelve!" on the wall.

The bath was really fun. I got some new bath colors and I picked yellow and blue for this bath (they make green). I had a blast until mama caught me drinking the bath water. The rule is, if she catches me drinking bath water, I have to get out. I don't like to get out of the bath so I try not to get caught.

Tuesdays are generally pretty good days

Mama's on vacation from work this week so the three of us ran errands this morning. We went to breakfast, then stopped at Costco. I asked mama where we were going to go next, and she said "...the baby store. What kind of baby would you like?" I told her that I would like a brother.

We went to the store because the old crib that I used to use was recalled, and they sent us a voucher for us to buy a new one. We don't need one right now, I think it is going to go in the attic, but if we ever do get that baby then it would be good to have a place for it to sleep. I'm sure not going to share my bed.

We got the bed ordered and we were driving out of the parking lot and I suddenly remembered the baby. "We didn't get a baby!" Mama said we didn't get one today because they were too expensive and maybe we'll pick one up next time they go on sale.

We got home and I played with my puzzles and cars for a while, and had lunch and then mama and I went outside to read a book. It was a nice Mercer Mayer book. After we finished that, we did some yard work. We put out some slug and snail stuff and then mama asked me to weed. She set me up with my gloves, shovel and bucket. I dug in the dirt for a while. I'm a good helper.

Then I wanted to play in the sprinkler. I wanted to wear my water shoes and my clothes, but mama made me strip down to underwear. It wasn't super warm but I had a blast for a good 20 minutes. Mady came over and played with me for a few minutes then it was time to go in and take a rest. I'm resting now; mama said that if I have a good rest, I'll get to go over to Mady's house to play later. I love to go over and play with Mady on my own ("mama 'tay here").

Scooter King

I've recently started riding the scooter I got for my birthday. I took it on a long ride a few days ago and my ankle kept hitting the screw jutting from one of the back wheels. I ended up with a great big ugly bruise. It's not so ugly today and so I got back on the scooter today for a little ride in the street with daddy. I didn't hit my ankle once.

I know it's been a while since I updated the blog. Mama was out of town this week so I thought I would have plenty of time to post, with her out of the way. But daddy kept me so busy that time flew by and I never got to it. I've got lots of pictures and stuff to post; I'll try and do it tonight. In the meantime, here's a video of me from last weekend. I've been really into singing lately. I sing the ABC song and I love to sing along with my Music Together CDs. This video is of me singing along to my favorite song, the "star one".

Come to the blog to watch the video if you're reading this on email update.
