No "P" in our OOL!

I've got my own pool in our backyard. And you already know I love water. Anyway, it was really warm today and so after Mama came home tonight, I got in my swim diaper and headed out. Dada had left the hose in the pool so that was a fun toy. Then, before I even knew what was happening, Dada started spraying me with it. It was sure cold, but it was so much fun!

Watch out, John Travolta.

I love music. I have two music boxes in my room that I like to have Mama wind up. I have a Jemima Puddleduck that plays "We've only just begun" and a little green bed with two frogs in it that plays "Fur Elise". There is also a musical bear that Auntie Chris gave me. I make sure it's in my crib before bedtime because it plays a nice lullaby for me when Mama winds it up.

Lately I've been doing a lot of dancing, too. I move my hips and sway, sometimes twisting. Mama and Dada need to make a video because I'm an excellent dancer. I've been compared to Elaine on "Seinfeld". She must have been a magnificent dancer.

Another thing I love is water! Here's a picture of me helping Dada water the front yard.

So the other night I was having dinner and was being very good as always, using my fork and spoon, being sure not to make a mess, when all of a sudden I found a bowl of creamed corn in front of me. Holy cow! Yum, I love creamed corn. Well, as you can imagine, I lost all control.

Happy happy me!

So, have you ever tried spinning? Yes, spinning. Just for the fun of it. 1. Get in a nice big open area, then 2. start spinning around in a circle. 3. Spin, 4. spin, 5. spin. 6. Then stop! 7. Try to walk. 8. Fall over. 9. Repeat.

What I did tonight

So today I hung out with Carson for a while while his Mama was working and this afternoon Grandma D came over and watched me for a bit since Dada had to go play fireman. Then Mama got home and started "documenting" my life. So, here we go.

After dinner, I decided this was as good a time as any to snuggle with the penguins.

Then, we went outside and I needed to rinse off my binky in the hose.

...also I really needed to check out the birdbath. You never know what's lurking in those things.

Then Bailey and I gazed lovingly at the street.

Mama captured a sweet shot.

And I'm just happy to be alive! And happy to be 16 months! And jumping for joy 'cause I'm a boy. Etc...

I was getting pretty tired from all that activity, but before bed, I needed to let my little fingers cool off in that birdbath. Grandma R. made it for Mama and the bowl falls off (don't ask how I know that!) but it's a pretty blue color that I like.

So that was pretty much it. No bathtime tonight for me, prob'ly because I was so good at getting clean on my own. Last night, though, I had a fun bath. Mama sometimes lets me (when she thinks she's being really patient with me) sit in the bath as the water is draining out. I really like being in the tub when there's no water in there. I waited until all the water was gone and then got up and danced. Mama told me to sit down! I couldn't believe it. But I sat down. Then I got up and danced some more, with one leg up on the back wall. I was groovin'! Mama made me get out of the tub then. I think she was jealous of my moves.

Update

Hola amigos! It's been a while since I've rapped at 'ya...Mama was out of town all of last week for a business trip and Dada refused to help me post a new entry here. So, here's some stuff that's been going on lately.

I'm becoming a super block stacking champion. I can make towers up to 8 or nine blocks high!
Okay, mama helped me just a little with this one.

And Auntie Amy stopped by the other day for a visit. Dada and I also went up to visit her and her kitty last week while Mama was gone.
(Be sure to note the expertly crafted tower in the background.)

Gooooood morning! Do I care that my pajama top doesn't match the bottom? No way, Jose!

My friend Carson and I have fun playing every week. Here we are getting into my kitchen drawer. Mama and Dada keep all sorts of interesting things in there for me to play with. Sometimes I'll find a wooden spoon or a plastic spatula, sometimes some toys, or a bowl of puffs.

mmm....puffs...

And I had corn on the cob for the first time last night. Yum! It was super sweet and I gobbled it up. Mama held it for me so I could gnaw on it, then she set it on my tray and I could just lean over and bite at it.

Since I had corn, I was sure to brush my teeth really good before bed. Mama always does the main brushing, then she lets me have a go. Then she tells me it's time to rinse and I hold the bristles under the faucet. Then it's time to tap the brush on the side of the sink to get the water off. That's my favorite part. After the brush is good and tapped, then I put it in my toothbrush cup.

Last thing, I am starting to imitate animals more. I do animal noises for monkey, sheep, dog, tiger, duck. Ask me how a birdy flies and I flap my arms!

I guess that's it for today; ciao!
