The other night mama put my shirt on wrong. Really, really wrong. It was kind of funny but practical too. I mean, there’s a built-in hole for pottying.
This is my monster.
It's not yours.
Mine.
...MO-OM! Don't make me share with Kai!

I’m very excited today that I’m going to Carson’s birthday party at Pump It Up and also Yamma and Baba and Auntie Amy are coming over this afternoon to have dinner with us. I am so excited that I woke up at the crack of 6 o’clock, which was earlier than even Kai wakes up. Mama wasn’t too happy to see me in her room at 6 am on a Saturday.
She eventually sent me to see daddy and then downstairs to play. I came back upstairs holding something between my fingers.
ME: Hey mom, guess what I found! (holding something out, then flicking it at mom)
MOM: I don’t know…what was that?
ME: A fly!
MOM: A fly? What…why? (looking around, finding a dead fly on her shirt) Why did you have a dead fly? And why did you throw it at me?
ME: …
MOM: Go wash your hands!

ME: EW! Well, I just found it on the window sill.

Last week mama graduated from school. I was hoping that "last day of school” also applied to work but apparently mama still has to go to that. The day of graduation, I woke up and said “congraduations” to mama a lot and I like the word so I’m still saying it after a week.
Kai and I got to go to the ceremony. I took my Mars book. Mama’s boss Mike and his wife Nancy were there with us and I lost count of how many times Mike read Mars to me.
Here’s mama walking down the aisle. It would have been nice if she could have sat with us. But all the black-robe/funny hat people sat in front.
Here’s mama waiting in line to get hooded and plaque’d.
I danced when mama was up on stage! She waved to me when she was up there.
After the end of the boooring speeches and stuff, the black robe/funny hat people walked back. Here’s our friend Rick. I guess he didn’t like his hat.
And here’s mama! Everybody was smiling and happy. We’re all glad it’s done.
When we got back home we got ready for the party. Oma brought a cake and lots of our friends came over to celebrate and say congraduations.
It was a sunny hot day and they forgot to sunblock me until I was already pink!
I made a friend.
Opa hiding in the corner. Not a literal corner, but definitely a figurative corner.
I just realized that this probably means that they expect me to do lots of school too. I like school so that’s probably ok but we’ll have to see.
Kai-Kai went to the doctor last week for his 4 month checkup. Healthy as they come, just like me. He’s now up to 25.25” (56%), 15lb 11oz (61%) and 93% head circumference. I was a little shorter and a full pound heavier at that age. (and we call Kai the chunky monkey!) Apparently mama was still bitter about my head circumference at birth because she didn’t record that stat until I was 9 months old.
He started eating rice cereal last weekend, and the last couple of nights he has had some while we eat dinner. It’s fun to have all of us eating together. Him nursing at the table just isn’t the same. He is a very messy eater. He’s not totally sure that he likes the cereal, and the little tongue reflex keeps pushing a lot of it out of his mouth. But he does lean forward and open his mouth when the spoon comes toward him.
