Auntie Amy was at our house today and I was a little wound up. I was racing around the house and when I was in the kitchen I tripped and my face hit the tile. My front tooth went through my lip and cut it. And my tooth chipped on the tile. Owie!!!! Lots of blood in my mouth. Yucky!!!! I cried and cried. And cried.
It was nappy time anyway so after dada got me cleaned up and put a little ice on my lip, mama tried to calm me down and then took me upstairs. All that crying wore me out so I went right to sleep. I had a long sleep and woke up feeling better. I still had a fat lip though. Then I had lunch and we went to Trader Joe's and mama got me a balloon. It's yellow. It makes me happy.

Last week.
Last week was a good grandma week. On Saturday I saw Grandma R/Grandma What and Great Grandma H. We went to visit GGH and Auntie Barb to celebrate GGH's and Grandpa R's birthdays. I had fun, we ate pizza and I got chocolate cake. Yum!
Oh and I got to see some cows and horses. Mama wouldn't get too close 'cause she doesn't like cows, but I got close enough to moo at them. GGH's neighbor has a tractor and when she drove up to feed the cows it was so exciting! I couldn't help but screech. It was awesome. I saw some birds and an airplane that day too so, you know, wow.
Then on Monday evening, Great Grandma Rex came down from Seattle with Auntie Chris. Yep, it was a good Auntie week too! They were here for a memorial service so I got to spend a bit of time with them before they went home.
Tonight at dinner mama gave me a little bowl of ranch to dip my food in. Mmmmm.
Hello, my love! Where have you been all my life?

18 month appointment
I got to go see the doctor again this week 'cause I'm 18 months old! She weighed me and measured me and stuck a needle in me and looked me all over. I am now 26 pounds heavy and 33" tall. About 50th percentile for weight and about 75th for height so all of those people who tell me that I must be big for my age can bite it.

Farmer Ian
The farmer in the dell,he has a funny smell.
It's not the cows,
it's not the sheep
He pooped without a peep.

What? Time for bed? NOOOOOOOO!!!!

Mama said to stop playing with the storage ottoman. This is my "what, me getting into something I'm not supposed to...?" face.
I still like reading a whole lot. I like my First Book of Prayers, it has really nice pictures. And my Child's Garden of Verses. Mama and dada have all those poems memorized now.
My Poky Little Puppy book is still a favorite too. I love helping those puppies count themselves after they get to the top of the hill. I point to each one and mama says the number. One! Two! Three! Four! Where is that poky little puppy? Ha, ha, that one gets me every time.
Growing
As I get bigger, I'm starting to understand more and more. It's lots of fun, and it's also lots of fun teaching mama and dada new things. They're doing things that they never expected they would, like discussing the contents of my diapers in public, and mama opening up a package of cereal bars in the aisle of Target before they're paid for.
Sometimes I show them that I'm more smarter than they realize I am. Mama and I went on a blackberry hunt a few weeks ago because the blackberry bushes out behind our house didn't have any good ones left. We went through the field and across the street and down into another field, where there was a super big blackberry bush with some lovely berries on it. Mama picked a bunch for me and let me eat them all. She says that in the summer, it's OK to spoil your dinner with berries because they're not around for long. So we headed home and I wanted mama to pick me up. So she did but she put me on her shoulders. I didn't wanna be there so I screeched and wailed. Mama said that we needed to cross the street first but then she'd put me down. So I stopped screeching and waited quietly for her to cross the street. She was very surprised but she shouldn't have been...
Tonight mama let me have four pieces of candy corn after dinner. I dribbled orange down my belly and when I finished them I signed "more, more". Mama said no more, we're all done. Then I found a little piece that I had dropped onto the table. I was going to eat it but mama had already said no more, so I decided not to eat it and I just fed it to her.

On vacation
We took a spontaneous trip to the coast this last weekend. Mama and Dada rented a teeny little house at Rockaway Beach. It was three stories high, and at the top of the hill, but it was like a funny looking box. There wasn't much room to run around, but at least I got my own bedroom. I was very good and slept really well.I got to eat some junk food too. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I hope they washed it off at least before they gave it to me. I love love love french fries. And ketchup. Yum! Oh, and orange juice, straight up. At home they dilute my juice with water but I got away with the real deal on vacation. Oh man! I didn't wanna go home...
We went down to the water the two times it wasn't raining. It was cooold and windy. I had to run back to mama!
We had lots of fun (did I mention the ketchup?). We stopped at the Tillamook cheese factory on the way back home and I sampled some cheese and supervised the workers through the glass. That's all for now. Until next time!
Here's Dada and me coloring. Dada asked me to draw a circle and I wasn't sure what to do. Then he asked me if I can go "round and round". So in the second picture, I'm making a round circle in the air.

Hugs and kisses! Mmmmm-wa!
So we got done with the beach and rushed back to the truck. I made myself comfortable in the roomy backseat.
