I can feed myself (kind of)

With finger food it's no problem. However, the spoon has been an interesting challenge. I'm getting the hang of it now (grab spoon, pull toward face, give back to mom for refilling). It just seems so inefficient. It's hard not to resort to the old ways.

Oceanside

We were vacationing at the coast this week.

Mama and Dada and I stayed at a motel in Lincoln City. We went to the outlet mall and got me some new clothes and some big boy shoes. I was very good and slept very well even though I was in a strange place. Didn't wake up once either night!


Bailey had fun too!



We went on a nice long walk. I wanted to stay awake but I was bundled up so warm and the sound of the ocean was so nice that I missed a lot of it.

Mama's handsome little man

My birthday cake. It was pretty good but I didn't dig in as much as mama expected. She spent a lot of time making a homemade sugar free carrot cake with sugar free cream cheese frosting. I only ate a few bites so maybe all that time would have been better spent elsewhere.

Great-aunt Barbie made me an ABC quilt!

Dodo and Ninny got me a great Chelsea Football Club jersey. Wondering why I'm fussy? It's not because I'm tired or overstimulated. Look at my uncle! Must...get...away...

First we went to Oma & Opa's house and they made me hold plastic eggs for some reason. Grownups are weird.

And THEN after a long nap, we went to Yamma & Baba's house for dinner.

Firsts

I had some more firsts this week; had my first overnight without mama while she was on a business trip. She was gone two days and I had fun with dad. Mama brought me back some toys so I was happy to see her come back.

Also had my first swim lesson! Mama and I took our first Baby and Me swim class and I had lots of splashing good fun.
